Nina Sedeño
Nina Sedeño joined the Latino Policy Forum in October of 2022 as the Immigration Policy Analyst. Under the supervision of the Director of Civic Engagement, Nina builds and maintains relationships with community partners, government agencies, elected officials, and other stakeholders to impact immigration policy, and provides analysis of policies and their impact on Latino families in Illinois.
Before joining the Forum, Nina worked in community mental health on the northwest side of Chicago, which involved the bilingual engagement of community partners and families from various ethnic backgrounds in expanding mental health access across the city. A proud Latina and third generation immigrant, she has a passion for social justice and engaging young people to become more civically engaged.
Nina earned her Master's of Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northwestern University. She is a lifelong resident of Chicago's northside and enjoys crafting, Broadway musicals, and Chicago sports.
