Anna Arzuaga is the Senior Housing Policy Analyst for the Latino Policy Forum. Under the guidance of the Director of Civic Engagement, Anna focuses on cultivating and maintaining relationships across various stakeholders to advocate for equitable access to housing resources for the Latino community, quality affordable housing, and Latino participation in the decision-making process. Through advocacy, research, and analysis, Anna works to impact housing policies that affect the Illinois’ Latino community.
Anna earned her PhD in Biological Sciences with a research focus on mental health and neurodevelopmental disability at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). During her PhD, also earned a Master’s in Public Policy from UIC where she received the opportunity to collaborate with the Forum on a thesis project centered on elucidating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on homelessness in the Latino community.
