Nina Sedeño

Nina Sedeño is the Immigration Policy Analyst for the Latino Policy Forum. As part of the Civic Engagement team, Nina builds and maintains relationships with community partners, government agencies, elected officials, and other stakeholders to advocate for just immigration policies. Through research and analysis, Nina works to impact immigration policies that benefit the Latino community and the broader immigrant community here in Illinois. A proud Latina and third generation immigrant, she has a passion for social justice and empowering communities to become more civically engaged.

Before joining the Forum, Nina worked at The Kedzie Center, a community mental health center on the northwest side of Chicago, where she helped work to expand mental health access across the city, including the uninsured and undocumented community.

Nina earned her Master’s of Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northwestern University. She is a lifelong resident of Chicago’s northside. In her free time, she enjoys crafting and going to Broadway musicals and Chicago sports games.
