Nina Sedeño is the Senior Immigration Policy Analyst for the Latino Policy Forum. As part of the Civic Engagement team, Nina builds and maintains relationships with community partners, government agencies, elected officials, and other stakeholders to advocate for just immigration policies. Through research and analysis, Nina works to impact immigration policies that benefit the Latino community and the broader immigrant community here in Illinois. A proud Latina and third generation immigrant, she has a passion for social justice and empowering communities to become more civically engaged.
Antes de incorporarse al Foro, Nina trabajó en The Kedzie Center, un centro comunitario de salud mental de la zona noroeste de Chicago, donde ayudó a ampliar el acceso a la salud mental en toda la ciudad, incluida la comunidad sin seguro e indocumentada.
Nina obtuvo un máster en Políticas Públicas en la Harris School de la Universidad de Chicago y una licenciatura en Ciencias Políticas en la Northwestern University. Ha vivido toda su vida en la zona norte de Chicago. En su tiempo libre, le gusta hacer manualidades e ir a musicales de Broadway y a partidos deportivos de Chicago.
