Miguel Hernandez

Miguel Hernandez is the Digital Communications Associate for the Latino Policy Forum. Working closely with the Director of Communications, he executes strategic and comprehensive communications plans and creates digital content for the Forum’s social media, website, email marketing, and newsletter.
Before joining the Forum, he was the Communications Specialist for the University of Chicago Crime Lab and Education Lab. In this role, he helped research teams execute communications roll-out plans and crafted website and social media content to amplify evidence-based policy solutions that improve educational outcomes, reduce gun violence, and improve the criminal justice system. Prior to that, he was a Research Manager for the Crime Lab where he managed the evaluations of READI Chicago and the Kewanee Life Skills Re-Entry Center in addition to providing technical assistance to Enlace Chicago and New Life Centers.
Miguel graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication.
