In today’s video, the Forum’s Board President, Sol Flores shares her#MyGivingStory.
Sol is Executive Director of La Casa Norte (LCN), a community-based organization founded in 2002. La Casa Norte serves youth and families confronting homelessness and since opening its doors has helped more than 20,000 homeless and at-risk individuals.
Sol gives to the Forum because the organization’s values match her own. #GivingTuesday is more than one day in December. Pledge to do more. This year, how will you give?
Looking for ways to give to the Forum this Giving Tuesday? Here are just a few ways how:
- Spread the word on social media:
- Pledge to give to the Forum. Then post your plans on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Here’s a sample post: “This #GivingTuesday I’m donating to the Latino Policy Forum because _________”.
- Post your #UNselfie, or a photo of yourself giving back, or create a short video about why you give. Remember to tag the Forum and use the hashtag #GivingTuesday
- Help the Forum reach it’s Giving Tuesday goal of $5,000. Every little bit counts! Give your gift of $5, $10, $25 or $50 on December 1. To donate CLICK HERE.
