Juan-Carlos Bautista is the Associate Director of External Affairs and Government Relations for the Latino Policy Forum. As part of the Civic Engagement team, Juan-Carlos serves as the primary liaison with elected officials, state agencies, and advocacy partners to identify, analyze, critique, and advocate for policy solutions that promote just immigration policies and affordable housing.
Prior to joining the Forum, Juan-Carlos served in several advocacy roles where he fought for immigrant rights at the state level. Notably, Juan-Carlos assisted in the passage of Safe Schools for All and the Work Permits for All resolution.
Juan-Carlos graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History.
