With over a decade of strategic fundraising experience, Carmen Martinez serves as the Associate Director of Development at the Latino Policy Forum. As the organization’s lead grants strategist, Carmen is responsible for securing investments from foundations and corporate partners. She leads planning and execution of the Forum’s signature Latinos on the Move Luncheon, which has experienced record-breaking growth under her leadership through innovative corporate engagement and sponsorship models.
In partnership, Carmen is also building on a comprehensive funding strategy to advance equity for Latino communities in Illinois.
Previously, Carmen was the Assistant Director of Development at El Valor, where she built and stewarded a robust portfolio of institutional partnerships while directing major donor events that strengthened the organization’s community presence and amplified its mission impact. Her collaborative approach to board engagement helped create sustainable pathways for philanthropic growth.
Carmen holds a Master of Business Administration from National Louis University and brings both business acumen and deep mission alignment to her work in the non-profit sector.
