On July 24, a federal judge issued a ruling blocking access to in-state tuition rates and financial aid for eligible undocumented students in the state.
If you are an undocumented student impacted by this ruling, please do not make any major decisions yet. The ruling does not mean you should automatically drop your classes, leave your college, or pay a new balance immediately.

- Ask your college or admissions office about deferring your admission and the steps required to proceed.
- Ask about your housing contract and whether it can be canceled or deferred without penalty.

- Check official updates from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission at ISAC.org.
- Be cautious about sharing immigration or personal information with people who are not authorized to receive it.
